TOURNAMENT RULES

• One of our main rules is to please follow the health and safety guidelines for Covid-19. These guidelines are:

• Follow Social distancing rules set in place.

• Masks will be mandatory for this tournament.

• Clean hands and controller before and after each game you play.

• If you are experiencing ANY mild symptoms, please do not participate on the day of the tournament.

• Tournament staff will be conducting contract tracing as a safety protocol.

• Health and safety aside. Our goal is to provide a fun and exciting tournament during this unprecedented time. To do so, all players must follow these specific tournament rules.

1. All participants in ASL tournaments must treat each other and the organization respectfully.

2. When a participant has hurtful, offensive, or racist expressions towards his/her opponent, he will be immediately be disqualified and disciplinary measures will be taken.

3. Bad language and/or threats against the ASL Admin means instant disqualification.

4. In cases of fraud and/or cheats, a participant will be disqualified immediately and disciplinary measures will be taken.

5. IF ANY PROPERTY IS DAMAGED, AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION AND FULL REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE DAMAGED ITEM WILL BE NECESSARY.

4. Camera: Any angle agreed upon by the players

1. Both participants must report their match scores within 5 minutes from the end of the match.

2. Match score papers will be on the table to be filled out after every match has concluded.

3. Reporting scores can be done by the admin table, where an official will take their own copy of the result.

4. We require players to remain on the final score screen in the case of scores not matching.

1. ASL assumes that each participant who enters this tournament is aware of all the rules. Insufficient knowledge of the rules can not be used as an excuse for breaking the rules.

2. Every participant who breaks a rule will be punished. The exact way of punishment will be decided by the Admin involved. Examples of punishments are 3-0 loss, replay, penalty points, or leaving the tournament early.

3. Matches must be played on time. We will only allow up to 5 minutes for anybody showing up late.

4. Players must check-in 5 minutes before their respective game begins

1. Top 32 rated teams according to star ratings will be included in the team draft.

2. Participants will be allowed to switch teams during the entire course of the tournament.

3. 'Away' players are responsible for picking a jersey that does not match the home players' jersey.

1. Top 2 players from each group advance to the knock-out stage

2. 3 points award for a win (Group Stage)

3. 1 point awarded for a draw (Group Stage)

4. 0 points awarded for a loss (Group Stage)

5. If there is a case of a tie-breaker. Head-to-Head will be the first decider, then Goal Difference +/-, then the number of goals scored.

6. IF THERE IS ANY CASE OF A PURE TIE, A PLAY-OFF MATCH WILL THEN OCCUR.

7. Knock-out matches will be single elimination.
